From Tuesday 1st September 2026 Ham Street Station is changing to paid parking. This brings Ham Street into line with the vast majority of other Southern railway car parks where parking charges already apply. Introducing this charge will help pay for the car park’s upkeep and improvements across the network and, as the railway is publicly funded, will help reduce our reliance on taxpayer funding. The new tariffs have been carefully considered to be comparable to nearby car parks. There will be increased patrolling by attendants at these locations. Blue Badge holders can continue to park free of charge by registering in advance at the APCOA Blue Badge Portal.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Electric vehicle charging is available at this this car park.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Starting 4th March 2024, charge points at this station will transition to a paid service, priced at 60p per kWh, which remains competitive with other public chargers.
The decision to implement charges is prompted by significant impact of COVID on train ticket sales and revenue. These impacts, which support our railways through government channels, have made it unsustainable to continue offering the service for free.
