APCOA is consistently developing innovative parking solutions for the ever-changing parking environment. Across the various industry sectors APCOA’s achievements in innovation are not only exemplary but also award-winning.
APCOA has won the prestigious ‘Innovation Award’ at the British Parking Awards on two occasions: in 2003 for our Side by Side safety initiative, working with the Metropolitan Police to support our on-street parking attendants (PA’s), and in 2006 for our Forum Theatre Training for our PA’s.
In addition, we have successfully implemented the following innovations:
- Chip coin payment for parking
- CCTV/security central control room
- Back office PCN processing service – Sysero
- The deployment of on-street PA’s in the ‘Wider Role’
- APCOA’s internal project management systems – Profile and Dashboard
- Automatic number plate recognition (for example at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports)
